I woke up a short while ago to the sad news of the passing of LaMonte McLemore, founding member of the 5th Dimension.
He was also well known as a photographer for Jet Magazine.
LaMonte was a decent, down to Earth guy, who we enjoyed spending time with at a book signing in NYC a few years ago.
While he and I were BSing 5th Dimension stuff, Snoop(Mary Ellen Brown) and his wife Meika, were trying to figure out Snoop's Japanese camera. Meika is Japanese and is fluent in the language. They never figured out that camera. :(
LaMonte was also a guest on the 60s70s Show a couple times.
He will be missed by all those who knew him.
