Hi Bob, Snoop, & everyone else. Hope all is well, & Happy Friday. To follow up with my own suggestions of songs for each theme as first proposed by Steven Green, here's what I've thought for each theme including the one with harmonica solos in the songs, a color in the title of the song or the group or artists a selected proposed song is by, and one with do's & dont's in the title.
First Idea: The One With Harmonica Solos In The Songs:
- Take The Long Way Home by Supertramp.
- Piano Man by Billy Joel.
- Roadhouse Blues by The Doors
- Heart Of Gold by Neil Young
- Long Train Runnin’ by The Doobie Brothers
- When The Levee Breaks by Led Zeppelin
Second Idea - The One With A Color in The Title Of The Song Or Group/Artist:
- Black Water by The Doobie Brothers
- Red Rubber Ball by both the Clyrke & the version by the Seekers
- Crystal Blue Persuasion by Tommy James & The Shondells
- Highway Star by Deep Purple
- My Woman From Tokyo - also by Deep Purple
- War Pigs, Black Sabbath, & Iron Man by Ozzy with Black Sabbath
- Don’t Fear The Reaper, Godzilla, I Love The Night & I’m Burning’ For You by Blue Oyster Cult
- Blackberry, Hard To Handle, Jealous Again, Stop Kicking my heart Around, Go Faster & Remedy by The Black Crowes
- Devil With The Blue Dress On (Full Good Golly Miss Molly Version) by Mitch Ryder
- Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress by The Hollies
- Black Betty by Ram Jam (I heard this song being played earlier this morning today on the local NY Classic Rock Station Q1043).
Third Idea - Songs With Do’s & Don’s In The Title
- Don’t Do Me Like That by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
- Don’t Mess with Bill by the Marvelettes
- Don’t Leave Me This Way by Thelma Houston
- Love Me Do by The Beatles (Also good for the first idea with songs that consist of harmonica solos in them).
- The Way You Do, The Thongs You Do by The Temptations
- Don’t Stop by Fleetwood Mac
- Do You Feel Like I Do by Peter Frampton
- Do Ya (Do Ya Want My Love) by Electric Light Orchestra (And the original version by Jeff Lynne prior to joining ELO)
- Do You Believe In Magic by the Lovin’ Spoonful
If I can think of any more ideas for songs to fit any one of these themes, I will include them in follow ups & which theme intend to list them under. Anyone else that has any other ideas for songs for any of these themes, feel free to comment them down below.
