Reading up on them, they created the Cuff Links as one of several studio groups. Hiring Ron Dante to sing Tracy, Dante agreed to record an entire album if the song became a hit. Dante did not participate in the touring band, and decided not to further record with the group after honoring his promise to record the first album. For the Cuff Links second album, vocals were split between Joey Cord and Rupert Holmes. Come Instant Request time, I will be asking for a Rupert song...and Not Escape.
