Good memory, Steve. WCAU definitely sounded like the ultimate station especially for disco then. It’s a good thing at least that 93.3 WMMR still manages to hold up to this day as one of the ultimate rock stations, not only of its own home area, Philly, but also of the entire USA & the entire world. So when it particularly comes to rock, WMMR is still where it all is today. At least as just one of the rock stations, and especially one known for rock long ago that’s still rock today. Grateful Dead is one of my favorite groups as well. Love many of their songs. Which also reminds me that I actually saw them live with my family back in the summer of 2018 at Citi Field (the present-day home stadium for the Mets) in NY.
