Last week I was in Anchorage, Alaska and also took a trip down to Seward, Alaska. The sunset in Anchorage was 11:43 PM. Sunrise 4:23 AM. During the few hours of darkness, the sky only gets partially dark, kind of like dusk. It was not dark enough to see any stars. Maybe two-thirds of real night darkness in the sky.
