The Who sued their original producer, Shel Talmy, who did their 1965 singles and first album. This made their record deal in the USA with Decca uncertain, so UK Polydor made this one off deal with Atco. By the way, the Atco single does NOT have the same audio as the UK single. Atco made them change the couplet "I look all white/but my dad was black" to "I try walking forward/but my feet walk back"...
