A couple of fun facts about it. The song was always mis-heard as “Secret ASIAN Man” lol. The song was originally titled as “Danger Man” & was originally written & recorded by PF Sloan. As far as I’m concerned, that song was based on a tv show of the same name & the song was used as its opening theme song as far as I’m concerned. Also as far as I’m concerned the network it originally aired from decided to retitle the name of the tv series at the last minute to “Secret Asian Man” for us regional American audiences & the song that was used for it’s opening theme was renamed to the same title to align uniformly with that of the tv series. The original writers & artists of the song, PF Sloan & Steve Barri re-wrote the track’s lyrics to align with the song’s title change. Then soon after, Johnny Rivers recorded his version of the finalized titled & written version of the song that became the popular hit that it is today.
