I guess that makes sense. Then in that case it was probably a matter of them having to release the initial version of the album quick;y with whatever was already included with it, then not release another version of that same album later on in time with more songs that weren't included in the initial release. Such versions of albums are sometimes known as "deluxe" versions or editions, at least nowadays they would be. I'm not sure what the later versions of LPs/albums with additional songs were referred to back then.
