That was an awesome once in a lifetime experience, before I met Karen. The hotel is still there. I was on the sixth floor with the top of a coconut palm tree ten feet from the window. It is an old hotel with one elevator on Ala Wai Blvd. The canal was across the street. Spent a week there.
