At Brian Wilson's memorial service, Al Jardine got a big laugh when he said that he "wrote" this song with Brian Wilson. Actually, the tune is the old Stephen Foster standard, "Old Folks at Home". Brian, Al and Dennis Wilson used the same melody for the song "South Bay Surfer", from the "Surfer Girl" album.
