I am a biochemist. I took one year of college physics, and so concepts like the electromagnetic spectrum, wavelength, frequency, etc. are clear to me.
So, I ask people, how does it really work, and they tell me a carrier wave is created at X frequency, and the content is overlaid on that.
WTF?
How do you create a wave vibrating at a certain frequency in the first place?
Second, how do you actually load content onto that wave? Like a voice, or video, even?
Just something I'm determined to understand. Do you know a reference that could build from my understanding to the science behind it all?
