I also have an idea for today's fourth hour theme, that was actually thought of by Steven Green which we both discussed earlier on in the week. Why not a fourth hour theme focusing on songs with the same title as one another, but with entirely different lyrics and meanings from one another? I thought of at least several ideas that fit well under that category, listed as the following:
Let's Dance - Both songs of the same name by Chris Montez and by David Bowie. (Well, both of these songs have the same meaning and encourage the same thing, but the lyrics on the other hand are entirely different from one another).
Promises, Promises - Both songs of the same name by the Naked Eye and Dionne Warwick. (Burt Bacharach and Neil Simon made recordings of their own of the same song as Dionne Warwick, and their versions can be played in addition as well I you'd like to do so if you have them).
Venus - The song of the same name by Frankie Avalon and the one by Shocking Blue (Bananarama's take on the Shocking Blue song can be played here as well if you have that one).
Jump - Both songs of the same name by the Pointer Sisters and Van Halen
Best of My Love - Both songs of the same name by the Eagles and the Emotions
Surrender - Both songs of the same name by Elvis Presley and Cheap Trick
Lady - All songs of the same name by Styx, Kenny Rogers, and the Commodores
Fire - All songs of the same name by the Ohio Players, the Pointer Sisters, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
These are just some I thought of, as well as ones I actually recently searched up.
