Bob - agree that there is some similarity between Gary Puckett and Jefferson (probably why I love the Jefferson song so much). But if you really want to hear something, please give the Jimmy Walker (the drummer from the Knickerbockers) song, "I Got The Best Of You" from 1969 a spin. close your eyes and you would almost swear it is Gary Puckett.
