Bob:
I really appreciate you mentioning the book. Just for good measure, and perhaps for next week, the website for all the books is http://ranking.rocks and there are links there that take you to the Amazon site for each of them. It's important to get the Version 2.0 of both Ranking the '60s and Ranking the '70s--way more stuff in Version 2.0.
I tried to make this a great lookup book--if you want to know what the No. 3000 single of the '60s is, it's there. But I also tried to make it a good read. There are a couple of essays in the Appendix about the Payola scandal and the development of the LP, 45 and stereo. And also biographical sketches of the 25 top singles acts.
Thanks again--hope you like it.
