Since Steve decided to propose several different theme's for tonight's last official hour and beyond, from songs that are about royalty (including ones significantly about a king or a queen), songs with a harmonica solo, to ones with "You" in the title, I have some ideas for songs for each theme as well.
For Royalty:
- "From A Jack To A King" by Ned Miller from 1957.
- "King Creole" by Elvis Presley from 1958.
- "Victoria" by the Kinks from 1969.
- "Her Majesty" by the Beatles from 1969.
- "King Midas In Reverse" by the Hollies from 1967.
- "Queen Of The Silver Dollar" by Dave Dudley from 1970.
- "Queen Of Hearts" by Pasty Cline.
- "Duke Of Earl" by Gene Chandler from 1962.
- "Her Royal Majesty" by James Darrin from 1961.
- "Killer Queen" by Queen from 1974.
- "Dancing Queen" by ABBA. from 1976.
- "King Crimson"
- Any version you might have of "The King Is Coming"
- "Lady Madonna" by the Beatles from 1968.
- "King Of Pain" by the Police from 1983.
For songs with a harmonica solo in them, I have:
- "Piano Man" by Billy Joel
- "Long Train Runnin'" by the Doobie Brothers
- "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder
- "Finger Tips" also by Stevie Wonder
- "Take The Long Way Home" by Supertramp
- "Heart Of Gold" by Neil Young
- "Like A Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan
- "Midnight Rambler" by the Rolling Stones
- "Miss You" also by the Rolling Stones
- "You Don't Know How It Feels" by Tom Petty
- "Thunderoad" by Bruce Springsteen
For songs with "You" in the title, I thought of:
- "(You Make Me Feel) Like A Natural Woman" - both versions by Carol King and the original by Aretha Franklin
- "You Make Me So Very Happy" by Blood, Sweat, & Tears (And also the versions by Brenda Holloway, The reggae cover by Alton Ellis, Shirley Bassey, and any other recordings you might have of this song)
- "I'm In Love With You" by Pat Boone
- Both versions of "You Are So Beautiful" by Billy Preston & Joe Cocker
- "A Girl Like You" by the (Young) Rascals
- Both versions of "You Really Got Me" by the Kinks and Van Halen (Van Halen's version is also titled as "Eruption")
- "You're The Devil In Disguise" by Elvis Presley
- "You Don't Know How It Feels" by Tom Petty can also be included in this theme as well.
- "I'm Still In Love With You" by Al Green
- "Somebody" by Bryan Adams
- "(You're) Simply The Best" by Tina Turner
Anyone else that has any other ideas for a fifth and last hour theme, or can contribute with any songs in mind that fit with any of these suggested ideas for themes, feel free to comment your thoughts down below.
